Where to begin? The greatest comeback of all time in the Super Bowl and the first ever game to go to OT happened tonight. What else happened? Oh yeah. The record for most Super Bowl wins for a quarterback was broken. If you want to be the best quarterback of all time, you need to win 6 Super Bowls (for now). The best quarterback and coach combo of all time came together for a storybook win tonight, but it would have not been possible without the help of their talented friends.
Every Super Bowl needs a memorable play and Julian Edelman's amazing catch in the fourth quarter proved to be it. I don't think a catch has been as amazing as that, unless you want to argue the 'Helmet Catch' then I would be stumped. James White (a FOURTH rounder) broke the record for most catches in a Super Bowl with 14 receptions that went for 110 yards. White is known for catching the game-tying/saving TD in the fourth AND the game winner that sealed the best comeback in football's biggest game. Usually the receiver who has the most receptions and catches the two most crucial touchdowns or the one who makes the craziest play would win all the attention, but when you have a Hall of Fame quarterback (he's going in soon!) that seals himself as the greatest of all time, you really know that there is something special. What a way to end the year. Leave a Reply. |
