It's time to keep pounding because we're almost to football season and it's time to talk about the new running back for the Carolina Panthers, Christian McCaffrey. While Mike Williams is doubtful about his rookie season this year, we are not doubtful in sharing some fun facts about the first draft pick for the Los Angeles Chargers. Stats at Clemson: Yards- Freshman: 316 Sophomore: 1030 Junior (full season): 1361 Receptions- Freshman: 20 Sophomore: 57 Junior: 98 Touchdowns- Freshman: 3 Sophomore: 6 Junior: 11 Hope to see Williams play this year!
Jamal Adams may be the best steal in the draft for the New York Jets after falling to No. 6. Very few safeties have even been picked in the top 5 in the past, so just Adams being at 6 is a big deal. He already has fans hopeful in New York, and it takes a lot to make one of the miserable fan bases that way. Here's some facts on the man who is can change things up in New York: Stats at LSU: Solo Tackles- Freshman: 38 Sophomore: 48 Junior: 42 Assisted Tackles- Freshman: 28 Sophomore: 19 Junior: 34 Interceptions- Sophomore: 4 Junior: 1 We hope that Adams is everything that Jets fans hope for and more!
Also on a more serious note, I do not condone or agree with his previous comments about being content with dying on the field because CTE is a serious issue that should not be seen that way. I still do support Adams as a player but do not support all players' views on certain topics. Music City has a new target for Mariota this season in Western Michigan's Corey Davis. If you're not familiar with Davis or Western Michigan, that's okay because you're about to learn some cool facts: Stats at Western Michigan: Receiving Yards: Freshman- 941 Sophomore- 1408 Junior- 1429 Senior- 1500 Touchdowns: Freshman- 6 Sophomore- 15 Junior- 12 Senior- 19 Receptions: Freshman- 67 Sophomore- 78 Junior- 89 Senior- 97 Hopefully he can heal from his slight hamstring injury so he can make things happen for the Titans!
Try to catch him before he's gone! Jaguar fans rejoice and AFC South fans get ready for the latest running back to come through Jacksonville and improve their offense. It's time to learn more about the star running back from Louisiana State who was the front runner for the good class of his position this year. College Stats: Total Yards: Freshman- 1034 Sophomore- 1953 Junior- 843 Average Yards Per Carry: Freshman- 5.5 Sophomore- 6.5 Junior- 6.5 Touchdowns: Freshman- 10 Sophomore- 22 Junior- 8 Receiving Yards: Freshman- 127 Sophomore- 253 (1 TD) Junior- 146 Consensus All-America in 2015 I hope this gets fans excited because this is going to be a new level for Fournette to flourish in!
It's now time to meet the defensive end from Stanford, who is going so far away to play for... the San Francisco 49ers. In all seriousness, let's find out what this new player is about: College Stats: Sacks: Sophomore Year- 3.5, Junior Year- 8.5 Total: 12.0 Touchdowns: 1 (Junior Year) Solo Tackles: Sophomore Year- 23, Junior Year- 40 Total: 63 Assisted Tackles: Sophomore Year- 14, Junior Year- 21 Total: 35 Third in Pac-12 Conference with 14 tackles for loss. Definitely can't wait to see what this truly interesting man can do on the field for the 49ers this year.
Welcome to the second edition of knowing the 2017 NFL Draft class! Today we will meet the quarterback who may become the starter for the Chicago Bears after Jay Cutler's retirement. The only thing stopping him is veteran quarterback Mike Glennon who may win the job due to his experience. For now, let's meet the former Tarheel and see what sets him apart. College Stats: Yards- 3,748 Completion Percentage- 68.0 Touchdowns- 30 Interceptions- 6 QB Rating- 157.9 Starts- 13 *All from junior year at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Hopefully he can impress the team during training camp going on now! See you soon!
In honor of training camp beginning tomorrow for some teams, it's time that we are introduced (or reintroduced) to our new class of rookies. Let's start with the first pick of the Draft, the defensive end who can hopefully help out the Browns this year! College Statistics at Texas A&M: Sacks- 31 total (11.0, 11.5, 8.5) Solo Tackles- 81 (26, 37, 18) Assisted Tackles- 60 (23, 22, 15) Total Tackles- 141 (49, 59, 33) Forced Fumbles- 7 (0, 5, 2) *Note: Garrett was limited in his last season due to an ankle injury. Need to know even more about the person off the field? Then read this piece written by his own father about who Garrett really is. It's definitely worth the read and gets you ready for a new season. Hope you enjoyed learning about who Myles Garrett is as a player and person and remember to look for him this season on the Browns! More rookies will follow soon!
