Ever wondered how your team's prospects are doing? The AHL is the best place to look for how your future will look as some of the best players in the NHL came here before making it big (they can't all be highly-skilled 18 year-olds). To make it easier, on Saturdays I will post schedules, standings, and other facts about AHL teams. Today's ScheduleSunday, November 27thTuesday, November 29thWednesday, November 30thStandingsHow can you watch? It's pretty tricky, but if you have a local team, chances are there is a local station that can show the games! Or you can listen to them here:
I want to start a series that will inform you all of how some of the top rookies are performing this year. I hope this will help you learn more about this year's interesting class. Auston MatthewsHis debut included 4 goals and we should know about by now, but how has he performed after that? Goals: 6 Assists: 7 Games Played: 18 What about the other rookies on the Leafs? Mitch Marner: Goals: 7 Assists: 9 Games Played: 18 William Nylander: Goals: 6 Assists: 8 Games Played: 18 *Nylander was named NHL Rookie of the Month for October. Schedule for the week: Patrik LaineThis guy has been tearing up the NHL and should be renamed 'Hat Trick'. That joke may be overused by the NHL (or not) but there is nothing overrated about him right now. Goals: 12 (tied for most in the league with Crosby) Assists: 6 Games Played: 20 Schedule for the Week: Jesse PuljujärviThis guy recently was awarded with being on the same line as Connor McDavid. I think things are looking up for his season already! Goals: 1 Assists: 4 Games Played: 15 Schedule for the Week: Matthew TkachukMaybe Tkachuk will step up more for his team after fellow left wing Johnny Gaudreau got injured? Goals: 4 Assists: 3 Games Played: 15 Schedule for the Week: More will be added as the season glides along.
