Things going on this week: Justin Verlander left the Tigers (??!!!!) and this time right now could be more exciting than the trade deadline. The Astros are wheelin' and dealin' right now and we can expect them to do well in the postseason, if this pays off. The Dodgers right now are struggling even though Kershaw returned to the mound. Every team needs to understand what a struggle feels like and get things in order before things start to matter more. Now with the East! The American League is crazy right now with the Wild Card remaining as unpredictable as it was last week. This may not change until the season is over unless all the contending teams stop doing what they are doing right now. Expect a crazy last day of the season and excitement mixed with some heartbreak on that day. With the National League, the East is Washington's capital and no one can come close to that. The Wild Card is looking more western right now, so the East needs a little more horse power to make a move there. Maybe it could happen, but I am really not sure.
Unrelated to the postseason, if you ever want to look through the best Instagram feed for a team, I highly suggest the Phillies's account. Why? They post the best and most relatable pictures of their players that are silly and morw unconventional than other team accounts. Check it out when you can and you won't regret it. See you next week!
