This season was an interesting season in baseball. We saw teams go into the playoffs that we never expected to at the beginning of the season. The Royals-Mets World Series was a good one because of the underdog and redemption themes that ruled those teams.
The MVP was given to two players who have not won it before. Josh Donaldson and Bryce Harper both represented their teams positively because it's been awhile since Toronto won MVP and this was the first MVP for Washington. The Cy Young for the National League was won by Jake Arrieta, who beat out past winners Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke. That was not a small feat to be done. He also threw his first career no-hitter against the Dodgers this year, so I guess he has no problem taking care of them. Dallas Keuchel was crucial to the emergence of the Houston Astros this year. That team had potential and he made them into a great team this year. No one saw the Astros becoming a power now because they thought it would happen later. Keuchel put the team in contention and had a standout year. The MLB put a recap of the year on their Twitter on the link below: https://t.co/LssQywj1sd |
