"I'm still in shock right now. I wanted to take the shot. I took it and I made it... I live for moments like this." -Morgan William, on the shot that ended the historic winning streak for Uconn. I was definitely devastated to watch UConn lose today because I wanted the streak to continue for those players who worked so hard. The silver lining is that through losing, you learn even more valuable lessons about the game and it makes winning better. Also, seeing a shorter player make the winning shot made those of us who are not the tallest feel good about how talent triumphs over your genes.
Thank you for breaking those stereotypes, Morgan William. -J Leave a Reply. |
AuthorHi, I'm Jenna and I'm a sports fan! I've been avidly watching sports since 2011 because I found that by watching sports, I would be able to communicate with my dad and brother better. Ever since I got into sports, I've been able to enjoy myself more when I go to sporting events with my family. Archives
