Twelve Drummers Drumming Holiday Sweater: Where are they now?Maybe you can recall one of the greatest Christmas videos of all time and how catchy the song is.. But did you know that it has been TWO years since this gift came to be?! Join me in finding out what happened to the stars of this video (*hint: One of them is a Star now!). Status: Still with the Sharks! Hertl did considerably well in the season after this video (8 more goals in 2015-16). He also got to go to the Stanley Cup which is not something many can say on this list. Hertl has only played 17 games this year due to a lower-body injury. Hopefully he can return soon to San Jose! Status: With the Dallas Stars Niemi left the season after the video was filmed and has spent the past two seasons in Dallas. Niemi was mostly successful after going to the playoffs last season with Dallas but they lost out in the second round. Status: Still with the Sharks! Nieto's only played a couple of games this year but hopefully he can find a way to get more ice time and score his first goal of the season. Status: In the Minnesota Wild Organization The former backup goalie for the Sharks is now with the Wild organization but he has yet to make his Wild debut in the NHL. Status: With the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Sheppard's NHL career ended the same season this video was published in but he ended it with the New York Rangers and not San Jose. He was just named to the Spengler Cup roster for Team Canada and will play on December 26-31 in Davos, Switzerland. Status: Retired Scott was recently seen tearing it up in this year's All Star Game in Nashville and dominated the competition by winning MVP of the entire tournament. Scott became a hero to all when he played in the competition against the best players despite the NHL trying to take him out of it. Scott ended his career in the Canadiens organization and will continue to be a legend (since the NHL created a rule after him in the All Star Game where no minor league players can be voted in). Status: With the Nashville Predators Irwin is having a great comeback year after playing only 2 games with Boston last season. He is still active with Nashville and has a plus/minus of 11 this season. Status: Still in the Sharks Organization! Goodrow's rookie season happened to be when this video was made and since then he has played 14 NHL games last season. Goodrow is currently playing with the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL. He's only 23 years old so there's promise for this prospect. Status: Still in the Sharks Organization! Mueller also was a rookie in this video and was last seen in 11 games last season. You can catch him and Goodrow on the San Jose Barracuda! Status: Still with the Sharks! Congrats to Tierney on being a rookie in the video that's still on the Sharks! This season Tierney has 10 points in 34 games. Status: Still spittin' play-by-play Hahn has held his position with the Sharks for 20 seasons now. Hahn is currently calling all the goals and calling all the hits. Status: Still in Sharks Territory The voice of the Sharks since birth is still with the team. You can check him out over radio for all the games. Status: With the Florida Panthers The special guest from Dallas is no longer there after two seasons. Demers is continuing to be his fun self in Sunrise and is also producing 15 points in 35 games. Status: Still with the Sharks! The late arrival to the video stuck with this team (despite not being able to actually perform with the others). Dillon is continuing to play for the Sharks and is still very apart of the active roster. Merry Christmas Eve and rock a holiday sweater for me!!!!Eleven Pipers pipingIf anyone knows how to celebrate, it's Montréal! Watch these two on Christmas Eve!!Nine Ladies Dancing. Or enjoying a fun boat ride! (This is what Southern Californians do during this season..) Eight maids a-milking! Sip some milk while you watch these videos! Told you that I would show this year's video! An old classic... fun starts around 0:14.
Six geese a-laying! Welcome to the Six for Christmas!! Here's what the teams want this year: *They also want to win it all too!!
But seriously, it's hard to imagine the Jays without Bautista and Encarnación. What world would it be without them there? FIVE GOLDEN RINGS! featuring the Final Five Simone BilesFive women, including this one, have won four gold medals in a single Olympics. She may have four golden medals and not five, but she's in great company and may be the best gymnast of all time. I think that she is the fifth golden medal herself. Want to do something nice this Christmas for others? Ms. Biles shared this wonderful tweet on how to help out foster children this holiday season! They need you more than ever right now so please help! Laurie HernandezJoy to the world! Laurie has come! One of America's new sweethearts killed it in the competition this summer by winning silver on the beam and helping the team win gold by dominating that same event. Gabby DouglasThe two-time Olympian did what few thought she could do this year: come back to the games. Though people criticized her performance (and nearly everything that she did), she still remains the nice and talented girl who won over the world in 2012. Douglas' mission now is to combat online bullying and encouraging others to take the pledge to not hurt on others. It's always better to be nice, not naughty. Madison KocianWhat does Kocian want for Christmas? The Dallas Morning News said she only wants a spa day. Who could blame her after winning gold with the team and silver on the bars? Did I also mention that she's currently training for the upcoming season for college gymnastics at UCLA? That also means that she probably had exams and papers due around this time... She definitely needs rest because she's one of the hardest working gymnasts out there (which says a lot). Aly RaismanJust like Douglas, Raisman came back (at age 22!!) and had one of the best floor routines ever. Once she showed up to the floor, people realized that age meant nothing. Raisman deserved all the attention and respect this year because she has given this sport continuous love and dedication for years. Gift IdeasHave a Final Five fan in your life? Or you want to share what you want for Christmas with others? Look no further because we have you covered from Simone fans to Aly fans! For the Simone fans: Her autobiography is a great choice! You can find this at book stores and online (if you want to avoid the chaos of this time). For the Laurie fans: Sadly, our girl's book won't be out until January BUT you can pre-order the book now! You may not get the physical book in time for Christmas, but the holiday can extend itself to January when it finally comes in! For the Gabby fans: You have two books to choose from and a movie! I've only read "Grace, Gold & Glory" but I really like it! Whichever book you choose you will get quality. Unfortunately the Barbie doll released in her likeness was one-of-a-kind. Dang it! For the Madison fans: How about tickets to see her in person? UCLA is starting their season soon so this is the perfect time to see her. For the Aly fans: Socks!! Raisman's sock line is so great you have to get them! The Monday Friday pair is probably my choice but there are other good selections that were designed by the gymnast herself. For fans of the entire team:
Can't make up your mind because the entire team is awesome? No problem! Good news is that Amazon sells a coloring book for the entire team! Not only will you enjoy seeing unique pictures of the girls on your wall or fridge, but you also will relieve stress! Four Calling Birds! Atlanta FalconsTalk about a throwback song! The audio may be weird but it's from 1980! Pittsburgh PenguinsI know this is from last year and I posted last year but it's still good to share! Baltimore OriolesThis is one of those nice videos that make you feel good inside! Baltimore RavensMaybe you would call this the finale of the four birds? Once I saw this, I had to share it!!
I love Christmas albums... Three French hens or No. 3 on the field tonight for Seattle? Not sure if his wrapping is better or worse than mine... Did you spot the holiday sweater?! *Hint* Holiday sweaters will show up again but not today! Merry Christmas and enjoy these hilarious superlatives before the game tonight!!
