This will be a bit different than the previous endorsements because I will base this off of opinions and less stats because managers mostly work with wins and losses. Obviously the players know more than I do about who is the best but I will try and chose who deserves this. And the nominees are: American League Buck Showalter (Orioles) Jeff Banister (Rangers) Terry Francona (Indians) National League Dusty Baker (Nationals) Joe Maddon (Cubs) Dave Roberts (Dodgers) American League For Manager of the Year, I will endorse... Terry FranconaI'm not factoring in the World Series trip this year because that's not fair to the other candidates but I do think he deserves this award. This team has improved from being a mediocre team last year to a surprise contender. Cleveland had some great stretches throughout the season and Francona has inspired the team to not let this get to their heads. I also like how Francona has turned this franchise around. He saw some of the quieter years with them but he got this team to where they took over their division and beat the other teams that once passed them. National LeagueFor Manager of the Year, I will endorse... Dusty BakerHe took over for a team that infamously choked (literally and figuratively) at the end of last season and missed the playoffs. The Nationals spiraled out of control last year but then they became good when Dusty came along this year. That team was exciting to watch and he instilled a better feeling for the team than last time. They did so well under him and they finally played to their potential. Also, stealing bases became more of the norm with him and that was great to see. Make sure to catch the winners on MLB Network tomorrow at 6 pm ET.
