Well, it was not Cleveland's lucky day.. Oh well. They're still winning anyways. And we remain in Toronto for another day... The Blue Jays will not allow themselves to lose the series at home because they can't let those fans down. Tomorrow should be a test for both teams because Indians have not lost until today. Will Cleveland rock or will the North rule tomorrow? Unlucky day for Cubs but more than lucky day for Dodgers.
Is today unlucky?! Don't worry, Indians and Cubs! Luck is overrated... and so are curses... Could this be the night?! The clincher?! Will Cleveland take the early exit from Toronto and await their opponent in the National League?! Is this everything that Believeland is about?! Or will the views from the Six become another playoff game and the place can still enjoy baseball and complain about the Leafs later. The tough part of the rotation vs. Rich Hill. Hill needs to look out because this guy hit a home run off of Madison Bumgarner. If you don't know how hard that is, it's about as equivalent as Bumgarner and Puig actually fighting each other. They always get so close but everyone intereferes right away. If he can give up a home run in the postseason, he can fight Puig soon!
Anyways, the Cubs do not like to lose more than once. It's a sickness if they lose three times in a row which they don't do. Losing is a curse to them. Yes, the curse will not be forgotten this year. Absolute pitchers' duel tonight! Offensive HighlightYep. There's only a need for one highlight on the offensive side of the game. I mean, five hits and an error?! Come on! That's actually pretty good for both teams defensively. Random HighlightChicago is also home to a winning hockey team and they decided to stop by and give the Cubs some of their championship magic from the past couple of years. Enjoy!
Good afternoon!! Tonight will be a beautiful night for a baseball game since both the Rams and Bears have finished their games today! We have the day off in the American League but the party never stops because baseball gets to be in Chicago tonight! Definitely watch for Fowler offensively today because he could have a big day, unless Kershaw figures him out first. If he does, we always have his beautiful defense to watch. Ahhhh. So beautiful. This obviously was not from last night but I thought this throwback of last night's heroes meeting up is a nice irony. Watch for Andrew Toles for sure. He pretty much came out of nowhere in the regular season but he has made a great case as to why he should be on the postseason roster. He knows how to hit at the right time and being in front of Kershaw can help because Kershaw is usally able to get on base and if he gets the right hit, Toles will use all effort to score. I mean, he did knock over Kris Bryant last night (check previous post for the action shot!).
Happy LCS time!! I know we miss the four teams that we had to say goodbye to in the previous week but we will not feature them for this (sorry!). Instead we get to say hello to the winners! Cleveland IndiansToronto Blue JaysChicago CubsLos Angeles DodgersNational LeagueMaedaNotes: Rizzo was surprisingly quiet in the NLDS (.067 AVG) but he still should not be disregarded because he is Anthony Rizzo. I would suspect that once he does wake up in the playoffs, the Dodgers will be in for a rude awakening. Also, look out for the Cubs' pitching when it comes to hitting because we have seen them rake. LesterNotes: Justin Turner is on fire like his hair (*unnecessary red head joke*). Seriously, a guy with a .400 AVG and a league high OBP of .591 should not be taken lightly. Everyone else comes and goes with offense, but Turner is the consistent threat. American League**With a bit of Canadian. HappTomlinHere we go!!!!! The Six takes on The Land!!! Pitching MatchupsExcited to see Klubet vs. Estrada? I sure am! Though I will miss the wild crowds of Toronto, I definitely am impressed by the amounts of people that show up for Indians games now.
Cleveland fans are humble people because they are not used to success like this and they hesistate to get super loud because it could go away in an instant. Thankfully, LeBron took the pressure off the Indians and gave the people what they deserved but it would be great to see both the basketball and baseball team win it all in the same year... I would be fine with either team in the World Series though because I love their cities and people. |
