With Game 4 on right now, here are some tweets from last night to keep you occupied during the breaks! Flaunt that star power, Cubbies! Always stay true to your team, especially when your rival is doing well. Yowch. "Hey, why aren't you watching my game right now?" every single game. If you watch the games, you know what I'm talking about.
What time is it in Chicago?! It's Tribe Time now!
Well, it was more of a pitcher's duel than anything. Both guys looked great and did great because one run was all Cleveland needed to win the game. Not sure if you heard this during the game but Tomlin's father was paralyzed recently by a disease but he was well enough to see his son pitch in the World Series and he hopes to recover soon. I love hearing about all the players' stories regarding the World Series. This is every little boy's drean come true. Yay, Cubs!
We've been waiting 71 years for this game!! The day has arrived where a World Series game is played at Wrigley Field. The poor stadium has been so deprived of this and has suffered for over seven decades. Let's see Hendricks do some solid work in the postseason tonight. Yay, Indians! Alright, enough with the pity storyline of the Cubs! The poor Indians have not been viewed as the favourite in this series and I think it's time we see that both sides could easily win this. They obviously deserve to be here because they swept the Red Sox (goodbye, Papi!) and beat Toronto 4-1. They spoiled seasons of two promising teams in the East and they aren't afraid to do that to a team in the NL Central. Keep your eye out for the Tribe because they always manage to fly under the radar. Isn't flying under the radar usually considered dangerous? I don't know about you, but the amount of days since the postseason began is [look above]. It's been a good ride so far and the fun does not stop because we are going back Chi-Town tomorrow! Since we need preparation for the madness of tomorrow, here's some things to get you ready! $$$$How much of your soul, arm, and leg are you willing to sell to see the game in Wrigley? If you don't live near Chicago, you also have to add the plane ticket, hotel, and other travel expenses to the cost of the ticket. I think I'll keep my soul, arm, leg, car, house, etc. for now. WeatherThose pitchers better warm up their arms tomorrow! It's not Cleveland cold but it sure ain't summer anymore. Pump up musicThe best tunes from the best teams. Who's going to win today (or tomorrow)? What time is it?!Someone is a bit late... That someone is me. Talk it outI was sad to see the Indians lose like this. I mean, the Cubs' lineup is so great but this is the World Series! We can't see an almost perfect game! They were lucky that Arrieta was taken out because they almost got no hit!
Amazing performance by Arrieta but lackluster performance by the Indians. I was hoping they would give their fans something to cheer louder than the Cubs fans for. Who's excited for the final game in Cleveland before this series goes to Chicago for THREE games?!
Now, I'm not saying that this will be the last game in Cleveland this season because the Cubs will not make it easy to win at Wrigley. I do think this series can go to seven games and I would be surprised if it didn't. I think today will be a different day than yesterday because the Cubs do so well after a loss. They know how to rebound after a loss and it amazes me. The only issue is that the Indians only know how to win. They only lost once in the playoffs and they are terrorizing through the postseason in a quieter way than the Cubs (no 108 year wait for them). I am definitely excited for Game 2!! 6-0, Cleveland.
Did we see that coming?! It's highly unlikely to imagine the Cubs being shut out but Cleveland came to play. They shut out Toronto to go to the World Series and now they shut out Chicago to win Game 1. They say that the winner of Game 1 wins the Series but stats can lie sometimes. I was very impressed with Corey Kluber and Roberto Perez tonight. Both were the MVPs of the game because Perez crushed TWO home runs (the second was even cooler, even though I like the barely out home runs). He absolutely came out of nowhere and I love players like that! Kluber did not come out of nowhere but he really impressed in his World Series debut. He made the Cubs line up whiff and made everything go to plan (Francona wanted the pitchers for the night to be Kluber-Miller- Allen). He also totalled 9 strikeouts, so he really didn't do too shabby (that's pretty dang good since it's against the best in the National League). Twenty days into the playoffs and here we are...
Welcome to the time we've been waiting for! Now some have been waiting longer than others (71 years or 19 years) but that does not take away fans from other teams' excitement! This is baseball at its finest and I expect to see a great series from both teams. Here we go!! This is what to expect for tomorrow! |
