Welcome to déjà vu! Remember last season when we began with the Blue Jackets being the last team to win?? Not only did that happen but the Ducks were lucky enough to get it right before them before people started to notice them.
I hope I'm not jinxing them right now because they're playing the Blackhawks and I want good things for them! I feel bad for the last team to win because it's a ton of pressure. They went through the same thing last year and eventually fired their coach.
Was their hire of John Tortorella the right one? He did not win any of the tournament games in the World Cup of Hockey with the best players from the U.S., not a group of guys with differing abilities.
I'm just wondering if he is the right person to help them because I am not quite sure if he can. I hope we can end this period of waiting for them to win because they deserve better!
And if John Tortorella reads this, I want him to know that I did not mean to offend him and he has had some past successes so he should not take what I said to heart. I don't think he will read this but I'm being safe because he scares me a bit.
One century of this game and League is a wonderful milestone to celebrate. Let's hope to do this in the next century!
