I'm somewhat lying when I said that this a weekly thing because I missed last week and I'm so sorry about that. I'll make it up to all of you by posting TWO teams this week! Meet the NFL's newest/oldest team! So excited to see football back in Los Angeles because football fans in that area were conflicted for years on who to cheer for. The only issue with the Rams being back is that those fans have to decide whether they stick with their old team or go with the new team. The good news is that some stayed faithful to the Rams and already make up a good portion of the fan base. Here's what you need to know about this team: Hall Of Famers: George Allen (1966-1970) Eric Dickerson (1983-87) Marshall Faulk (1999-2005) Tom Fears (1948-1956) Kevin Greene (1985-1992) Elroy Hirsch (1949-1957) David (Deacon) Jones (1961-1971) Tom Mack (1966-1978) Ollie Matson (1959-1962) Merlin Olsen (1962-1976) Orlando Pace (1997-2008) Dan Reeves (1941-1971) Les Richter (1954-1962) Jackie Slater (1976-1995) Norm Van Brocklin (1949-1957) Bob Waterfield (1945-1952) Jack Youngblood (1971-1984) New Home? The new stadium for the Rams is not new at all because they played there back in the day. Actually many people played there back in the day and we'll go over that below. The Coliseum is used nowadays for games for the University of Southern California. If you haven't watched a USC game on Saturday, then here's a good view of where the Rams will play until the new, beautiful home is built in Inglewood in 2019.
Puig Your FriendIn case you didn't know, the Rams drafted a quarterback who was a Giants fan and now has to face the issue of sharing the city with his team's rival. He infamously tweeted about his thoughts for Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig back in 2013 and of course, it resurfaced on Draft Day and was discovered by Puig himself. *Spoiler Alert: They made up!* View the slideshow below that tracks the new friendship: Hollywood is calling! To learn more about the team, watch Hard Knocks this summer! This show goes more in depth with the team and will put the spotlight on players trying to make the roster and not get cut. This is one of my favourites because of how fun the players are. I definitely recommend this show but I do have some warnings.... Viewer Discretion Advised: Yes, there is some bad language and by some, I mean A LOT. The amount of bad language does depend on the team but you will hear it. Emotional Content: You may or may not cry but you may feel something inside. Watching all-around good guys being told that football may not be their thing anymore really hurts. Especially when they talk about how it was their dream to play this game they loved as a little boy. Those are main two warnings but you may pick up on other things as you watch the show, like how players really act compared to what they put out on social media. I hope you learned what you wanted to know!! We will see this team in the summer!
