All this talk about how Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers being on fire right now prompts us to ask the question if it's appropriate to say so. Rodgers and his team looked fantastic towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. Rodgers is one game away from the Super Bowl and must win the decisive game in Atlanta tomorrow. Green Bay was my pick to win that game because of how they're playing right now with Rodgers leading the way. An eight game winning streak is no joke but... Is Aaron Rodgers really on a hot streak?HypothesesNull: Rodgers' games are independent of each other and he has the SAME ability as before. Alternative: Rodgers is on a hot streak and each of his games are affected by the one before them. SimulationData consists of the Win-Loss records for all 18 games played by Rodgers this season. P-value= 34.5%, large value. ConclusionSince the p-value is large, it means that it is plausible for Rodgers' games to be independent of each other. Therefore, Rodgers is not doing anything out of the ordinary and is playing like he should be, not on a hot streak.
