"At first, [softball] was more of a fun thing, But as I grew up and realized all the stress I'd been going through and trying to figure out some way to get away from all the stuff that was going on at home at the time, [I] figured out I could use it as a release. If things weren't going the way I wanted them to go at school or if things weren't going the way I wanted at home, I could just go the cages and hit or find someone to throw the ball with." -Jessie Warren "That's why I'm doing [the Great Wall of China Marathon], it's to show all the girls that no wall is too big to conquer." -Liz Ferro Better late than never! Hope you are all enjoying the day before playoff action rolls around again tonight in Anaheim! Before the game tonight, I thought it would be nice to get to know some stats behind the OT hero from Game 4. Did you know that Corey Perry has 4 career OT goals in the playoffs and 3 of them are from this year alone? Did you also know that he's had 10 years of playoff experience? Today's investigation will show his moving average for the past 10 years of his playoff goal scoring and it will include three years of data for each point plotted. *Moving average is good to use when plotting a career because it is much smoother when the peaks and declines in a career are presented. Moving Average of Playoff Goals Scored Over the Years: Note: We cannot see 2006 or 2017 on here because one is the first season and the other is the last, and it does not work with moving average. Moving average needs a number to begin it and a number to end when calculating for the average of that year and they both do not have those. Perry is not quite at his peak but he most definitely is far from his decline from 2013. Let's hope he can keep this up in this season's playoffs!
"It's the big goal for everyone, no matter whether man or woman, to officiate in the Bundesliga... I've worked incredibly hard for it over the past few years, and also had a few setbacks." -Bibiana Steinhaus "Emotionally and mentally, [my shoulders] have helped me carry the weight of the world... Beyond being physically strong, I am emotionally strong as I have overcome things that most people can't fathom enduring." -Chloie Jönsson "We've [Minnesota] always been the underdog, and we still are now. I think we play best being an underdog, and that's huge for us. We have a lot of motivation right now, and we're just going to take that to Alabama." -Kendyl Lindaman "When it comes to workouts on land, I love to push myself (and my muscles) as hard as I ask the rowers to. I may not be as powerful as my 6-foot counterparts, but pound for pound, I hold my own." -Kendall Schmidt "I'm kind of a miracle baby. I wasn't supposed to live past a week of being born, and my Mum didn't want to get attached to me, so she said "whatever day she's born that's going to be her name." And I just so happened to be born on a Tuesday." -Tuesday DeMargosian "I've accomplished things on the track and in the classroom, but I don't think there is anything I will ever do in my lifetime that'll amount to being Peyton's mom. She's that light at the end of the tunnel. She's given me a purpose that's much bigger than myself." -Alexis Hernandez |
AuthorHi, I'm Jenna and I'm a sports fan! I've been avidly watching sports since 2011 because I found that by watching sports, I would be able to communicate with my dad and brother better. Ever since I got into sports, I've been able to enjoy myself more when I go to sporting events with my family. Archives
