Puerto Rico or U.S.? Voice your opinions in the comments! "There are many misconceptions about people with disabilities; We shouldn't be too quick to just judge and assume. Once you get to know me and my strengths and my weaknesses, I think your whole perspective is going to change. What we're trying to do is make our disabilities into an ability." -Sharita Taylor "As I said, I believe that people can do whatever they want if they keep their minds to it. When Daina [Shilts] competes, she glides through the snow like a penguin. Snowboarding is the light of her life; she honestly cannot live without it. She has showed me that no matter what disabilities or challenges you have, you can still do the things you love." -Faith Schroeder, on her aunt and Special Olympic Snowboader "Knowing this was my last game as a Golden Knight, I knew I had to just go out and give it everything I have. Meet the top scorer in NCAA Division I Women's Basketball history, Washington's Kelsey Plum. Plum needed 54 points to pass Jackie Stiles' record and she scored 57 points vs. Utah to not only make NCAA history but also make school history with the most scored by ANY basketball player in a single game. With that being said... How outstanding is Plum's scoring ability? To find this out, we will explore her z-score! What is z-score again? Z-score is the standardization of the competiting stats to see how much one stat stands out. The number that comes out from z-score is how many Standard Deviations that player is from the mean.
