What a week in baseball! The race in the AL Central is still hot as ever with the Tigers gaining some ground while the Indians made some deals and are serious about the postseason. Did you think this would happen before the season started? Meanwhile the defending champions are in fourth place behind the White Sox. Again, did you see this coming? And then in the NL Central, the Cubs are kicking butt like they did towards the end of last season except this time they are dominant all season. The Cardinals still have a fighting chance but unfortunately our underdogs in Pittsburgh may have to just be happy with that Stanley Cup (that's a fantastic consolation prize). We all wanted them to win a playoff game since it took them so long to get there but we will probably wait until next year. P.S. We are sorry to Rockies fans on the loss of Trevor Story, a potential Rookie of the Year candidate, for the rest of the regular season. May he get well soon and maybe we'll see him the postseason.
Also, Happy 25th Birthday to Mike Trout! Leave a Reply. |
