Schedule for Upcoming Week
Unique to Minor Leagues
The Teddy Bear Toss is a tradition in junior hockey where the fans throw out teddy bears (or catepillars!) on the ice after the home team scores the first goal. This is a popular way to donate stuffed animals to children in hospitals and it began in the 1993-94 season. If your local team ever has one of these nights, I recommend going!
One century of this game and League is a wonderful milestone to celebrate. Let's hope to do this in the next century!
